This past year I've been trying my hand at more painting--taking watercolor classes through CraftJam (see above) and even taking Painting I through a local university (more on that in a later post).
Painting has always been something that I've somewhat avoided as an art form because of mere intimidation and honestly, fear that I wouldn't be able to create anything worth holding onto. As a kiddo I played with oil a bit and would happily fill up canvases for family. Unfortunately with age comes dollops of doubt that eventually gain weight.
This is one of the reasons I love to teach crafts--it's a reminder to others, as well as myself, that we are all capable of being creative.
This little watercolor bouquet happily that I made last year stayed on my fridge for months, so I'll consider that a win.
